My latest DC real estate newsletter for the week of September 2-8 contains the following updates on the local Washington Area housing market:
- Clear Capital research shows DC, Arlington, Alexandria home prices rose 12.4% over August 2011, compared to price gains of 2.9% nationwide.
- CoreLogic research shows DC home prices rose 5.8% over July 2011, while prices in the greater DC Metro Area increased 4.5%. Nationwide home prices rose 3.8%.
- Mortgage rates change little, remain near record lows.
